Haldon Belvedere, also known as Lawrence Castle, is a unique and Historic Folly on the edge of Exeter. Owned by Devon Historic Buildings Trust, the Haldon Belvedere is one of Devon's most famous Landmarks, and now you can come and stay in the gorgeous 1 bedroom apartment on the top floor of the tower. The beautiful apartment provides the ultimate romantic break for 2 within a stones throw of the city. The Folly has incredible views in all directions, looking out for miles across Devon.
The tower is accessed via the Lawrence Room and the cantilevered spiral stone staircase with wrought iron balustrades and mahogany handrail. The fully self contained penthouse apartment, which is on the second floor, has a luxuriously large Super King bed, and with its lofty ceiling and Georgian gothic detailed doors and windows, its a special place to stay. Leading from the main living area, there is a separate bathroom with bath and shower, and a fully fitted kitchen, built into the two turrets.
Guests can also access the roof for sunrise and sunset viewing of the 360 degree panoramic views across Devon.... the view is an absolute showstopper and ideal for star gazing!
Unfortunately we aren't able to host children or pets.
Facilites include:

Advisory: The tower is in a fairly remote are on the edge of Exeter, we would suggest that it is not suitable to visit without a vehicle. The staircase is very steep and there are a lot of steps up to the 2nd floor. As a result the property is not suited to anyone with reduced mobility.
